U.S. gaming gear brand teams with Operation Supply Drop to bring Performance Gaming Gear to veterans and active military

ATLANTA, GA – August 8, 2016

Atlanta-based Performance Gaming Gear company, KontrolFreek®, has made a substantial in-kind donation to support Operation Supply Drop (OSD), a charitable organization that sends video game and entertainment care packages to veterans and deployed U.S. troops all over the world.

KontrolFreek donated more than 3,500 units of their Performance Thumbsticks for use with Xbox and PlayStation controllers, which amounts to more than $70,000. The Performance Thumbsticks were part of several “Drops,” which were delivered to Camp Lejeune, Ft. Bragg and Yuma. The products will be used in several ways, including at recreation centers, by marines and their families during pre-deployment, and at a family day during a Warrior Transition Battalion event, a transition event for injured warriors.

“KontrolFreek has consistently shown incredible support for our service-members and veterans,” said, Glenn D. Banton, Sr., CEO of Operation Supply Drop. “They’ve taken their support to the next level with this donation, which will contribute to a huge boost in morale for those we serve. We’re grateful to have KontrolFreek as a partner and look forward to continued collaboration between the KontrolFreek and Operation Supply Drop communities.”

KontrolFreek and Operation Supply Drop have worked together on several occasions to bring products to U.S. veterans and troops. Founded in 2010, OSD has served more than 85,000 veterans and raised over $8M for veterans and active military worldwide. This donation is part of an ongoing effort by KontrolFreek to give back to the gaming community and support local charities. The company recognizes that gaming and entertainment are deeply important to members of the military, and is proud to work with OSD to equip them with products that will elevate their game and make playing more comfortable.

“KontrolFreek products are proudly made in the USA, and our company is constantly on the lookout for ways to support local and national charities,” said Ashish Mistry, President and CEO of KontrolFreek. “We know that members of the military are big gamers and this partnership with Operation Supply Drop just makes sense. We’re thrilled to work with them again and give back to our military community.”
