FreekNation's Collections - A Look Back At Classic KontrolFreek Designs

Since KontrolFreek's inception in 2008, we've made it our job to create reliable, innovative products in the gaming space. As the creator of Performance Gaming Gear, we've built a community of over four million gamers. Over the years, FreekNation has been party to a wide variety of iterations of our Performance Thumbsticks, Performance Grips, and other high-quality products that enhance the player experience.

From our original lineup to the return of our classic CQC model, we've curated our offerings with our community in mind. What do fans want to see? Which games are they most interested in? And how can we continually iterate on the equipment FreekNation has grown to love over the years?

Because of our dedication to our community, composed of customers, fans, and family, we’ve seen one-time buyers grow into dedicated evangelists. And not only have we seen this, but we appreciate it, deeply. For that reason, we're celebrating you, the collectors of FreekNation, and how you've honored the KontrolFreek brand over the years.

KontrolFreek Borderlands 3 Claptrap Performance Thumbsticks

 These striking yellow thumbsticks look great against a contrasting controller. Created as a mid-rise option for improved accuracy in short-to-mid-range shootouts, this design featured Borderlands' most popular mascot, Claptrap, etched into the sticks to create a domed surface with a secure grip. They're the perfect option for anyone looking to play their best in Borderlands 3, or any shooter -- whether you're taking on psychos or going head to head in a boss fight. And making sure you're picking up every bit of loot, of course.

KontrolFreek Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Performance Thumbsticks

These throwback thumbsticks debuted upon the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and added a versatile gray color fused with a unique transparent material. The two concave, high-rise performance thumbsticks added 10.0mm of height for increased accuracy, and the stems reduced the amount of force required for movements. Plus, the laser-etched design, aside from looking awesome (the iconic Modern Warfare logo) added enhanced grip and comfort. Seen here on both PlayStation and Xbox controllers, this line was a hit with many.

KontrolFreek Overwatch D.Va Performance Thumbsticks

Overwatch is a massively popular property, but there's one best girl that everyone knows and loves: D.Va! These sprightly pink thumbsticks, like their bright yellow Overwatch logo analogs, came with one CQC (mid-rise height) and an FPS (high-rise) height stick for maximum flexibility, no matter which role you end up playing. Most importantly, however, their hot pink profile came stamped with a grippy D.Va bunny logo -- immediately recognizable and absolutely chic. No wonder they quickly became a crowd favorite, looking especially fabulous with this pink PlayStation controller.

KontrolFreek Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII Performance Thumbsticks

There's no mistaking this unique design for another. These Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII thumbsticks offered a 11.86mm high-rise stick to allow you to aim with enhanced precision and range, with a 7.05mm mid-rise unit for comfort and improved control. Based on Specialist Ruin and their Grav Slam weapon, these striking gray and orange sticks also featured a convex surface for enhanced grip. A fantastic way to show your love for Call of Duty, no matter what console you play on.

With all of these great designs of the past in the rearview mirror (and even more beyond what we looked at here), that leaves us sprinting ahead in one direction: forward.
